Here Are Tips To Help Mothers To Celebrate Valentine's Day With Their Kids.

1. Lunch Date

It's OK to be a little unconventional. Who says your kids can't join you on V-Day?
Choose a family-friendly cafe, or pack some lunch and head to your favorite picnic spot.
While your bub sleeps in the pram or your older kids tear around with a soccer ball (or busy themselves with your iPhone) steal some steamy glances with your lover
"Once the kids are in bed, lay a picnic blanket on the lounge room floor and spread out some wine"

2. Celebrate Family

Maybe it's time to accept that love has evolved in your life. It isn't just about the two of you anymore. Celebrating V-Day might need to become about celebrating the love for your kids as well as your partner.
Instead of focusing on romance decide to enjoy a family activity that you'll all enjoy together. Be it a trip to the cinema, or popping your bub in a carrier and enjoying an adult bush walk together.

3. Lounge room picnic

So a seven course degustation at a three hat restaurant isn't going to happen this year, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some gourmet treats.
Once the kids are in bed, lay a picnic blanket on the lounge room floor and spread out some wine and food.
In the comfort of your uggies and yoga pants toast to happy days of parenting together.
Some tea light candles can create a romantic ambiance which might set the mood for in the bedroom later - if you can stay awake long enough.

4. PJ Party

V-Day doesn't have to be about romance in the traditional sense. It can be about enjoy each others company and making the time to be together.
With the demands of small kids and chronic lack of sleep it's not uncommon for parents to have waning energy level.
Why not settle for snuggling-up together on the lounge in your pajamas, or under the covers watching a movie or a TV series you've downloaded. A bit of cuddling and a shared experience can help you reconnect and feel loved.

5. Small gestures

When you're in the thick of it with being "Mum's Taxi", doing groceries, and running off to work it's easy to forget about your partner's needs.
For V-Day try put some extra thought into doing something small and thoughtful for your other half.
Make them a hot cup of tea, bring home their favourite chocolate bar from the supermarket, or do the dishes and put the kids to bed - even it's their turn.

6. Surprise note

Who doesn't love a cute love note under their pillow? Or a thoughtful SMS blinking on their mobile phone?
V-Day doesn't have to be about grand gestures, but a couple of words to let your partner know that they're loved and you appreciate them goes a long way.
Part of the fun can be hiding a note somewhere and giving them hints to try and find it. Think, "getting warmer" or "getting colder".

7. Sleep-in

OK, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that parents miss their sleep.
If you really want to be in the good books this V-Day offer your love the chance to have a sleep-in. Keep the kids busy, fed and quiet and let them enjoy an extra half hour in Snoozeville.
When they wake up feeling rested you'll have earned some serious brownie points too!
