Home Remedies for Firming Sagging Breasts

Every woman wants to have perfectly shaped breasts throughout her life. Sadly, this is not possible in most cases. Breast sagging is a natural process that happens with age wherein the breasts lose their suppleness and elasticity.
Though saggy breasts usually start happening after a woman reaches 40, it can occur earlier. Apart from age, other factors that cause sagging breasts include breastfeeding, pregnancy, menopause, rapid weight loss or gain, strenuous exercise, nutritional deficiencies and wearing a poorly fitting bra.
Some diseases like breast cancer or respiratory conditions like tuberculosis can also cause breasts to sag. Also, excessive consumption of nicotine, alcohol and carbonated beverages can contribute to the problem.
Breasts do not have muscle. They are made of fat, connective tissues and milk-producing glands, and they need proper care to keep them in good shape.
A wide variety of creams and lotions are available on the market to tighten and tone up sagging breasts. However, if you prefer natural methods, there are many simple and easy home remedies that you can try.

Here are the top 10 home remedies to firm sagging breasts.

1. Exercise

Those with saggy breasts must incorporate exercise in their daily routine. Exercises that target breast tissues and pectoral muscles around the chest can help a lot to add firmness.
Some exercises that can effectively lift up and firm sagging breasts are– chest presses and pulls, arm raises, round-about push-ups, and dumbbell flyes.
Along with these, there are other types of exercises that you can perform to firm your breasts.
Always wear a supportive or sports bra while exercising.

Doctors are warning you against the dangers of wearing skinny jeans and squatting

Not a good idea, apparently

Attention anyone who spends the majority of their life wearing skinny jeans: make sure you're not squatting in them for too long, because doctors have issued a health warning on the matter after a woman was left hospitalised for four days.

The 35 year old experienced muscle damage and nerve blockages in her legs, having worn tight fitting skinnies to empty her cupboards during a house move, which saw her squatting with dangerously restricted blood flow for several hours.
So that's fairly terrifying... PASS THE BOOTCUTS.

Housewife hangs self in Ondo

A 40-year-old housewife, Mrs Seyi Adewumi, was yesterday found dead in an uncompleted building beside her house at Olu Foam area of Akure, the Ondo State capital. The cause of the death of the mother of two was not known at press time, but some of the residents suspected suicide. Hundreds of people living around the area trooped out to catch a glimpse of the body.
Expressing shock over the demise of his wife, Mr Gbenga Adewumi said he went to a vigil on Tuesday only to come back and see his wife’s body in the uncompleted building.
He said: “Last night (Tuesday), I went to a vigil organised by our church. I left her in the house hale and hearty. But to my surprise, I got back home this morning and I saw some of our neighbours in front of our house. They broke the news to me and took me to where she is hanged.”

'He told me I was filth and I deserved it' - What it's really like to be a victim of revenge porn

22 yr old Jess tells us what it's like to have your intimate pictures shared with the world

Two years ago, I met George* through a mutual friend. I had just come out of a three year relationship and my self-esteem was a quite low. George quickly boosted my confidence, and he soon wanted us to be exclusive.
Later, our relationship became long distance, so I sent him a few intimate photos to keep the heat going while we were apart. I did feel some niggling doubt when I pressed send, but I put this down to having been hurt in my last relationship - things were different with George.
But soon things took a turn for the worse; George started to become possessive, and was constantly demanding to know where I'd been and who I was with. He'd call me eight times a day and get angry if I didn't answer.
I then heard from other people that he'd been violent and abusive with his past girlfriends, so I decided to end it. I did it in a public place in case he got aggressive, but didn't tell him what I'd heard about him - I just said that things had got too intense and I wasn't ready for it.
He insisted that he didn't like me that much anyway and that I was just a bit of fun to sleep with (charming), but overall the break-up was relatively drama-free. I didn't hear anything from him for a month afterwards, so I was surprised when one of his friends messaged me.
George's friend said that George had posted the private photos of me online, on a website where lots of people were posting revenge porn. When I saw the photos, I felt physically sick. He was also threatening to post a link to my Facebook profile.
Instantly I got in touch with him and asked him why he'd done it. He just found it funny, and said that I was "filth" and "deserved it". I begged him to take the pictures down but he just replied with insults, adding to the picture posts with details of my pleading messages to him, saying that it was his responsibility to teach me a lesson.
I felt like there was nothing I could do. I was constantly worrying about who'd seen the pictures, and I felt like I couldn't trust anyone. Even though I was the one who'd been violated, I blamed myself.

cosmopolitan: Kim Kardashian discusses the pros and cons of calling her next baby South West

Will we be getting another direction on the compass when baby number two arrives?

Despite the continuity of the 'K' among all Kris Jenner's kids, it seems Kim Kardashian probably isn't going to follow suit by naming her second child another direction.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star recently discussed baby name prospects while being interviewed on the radio show, NPR, and basically flat-out shut down the possibility of naming North's brother or sister South West.
"I don't like South West," she said, "because North will always be better, she has a better direction."
And when the radio show host suggested that calling her second child a direction on the compass might introduce some conflict between the two kiddies, she responded, saying: "I wouldn't do that. I don't think we'll go with another direction."
And let's face it, North would NOT be ok with some new baby stealing her directional thunder.
So that's that, then.
And while he had her on the line, the show's host also took the interview as an opportunity to clear up a few other rumours surrounding Kimmy K's pregnancy. Asking her straight out if reports that she's having a boy were indeed based on truth, she replied:
"We actually haven't told anyone the sex. So I heard that we're having a boy, I heard that we're having twins, I heard that I'm not even carrying my own baby. I've heard so many things, and most of the information is not true."
But can we all just take a second and rewind. MOST of the information? MOST? So SOME of it is true?
Well that means we're now kind of forced into an unexpected game of 'two lies, one truth' where we have to pick which of the rumours we reckon is real. We're putting money on the sex being a boy, just FYI.
Now we don't want to wish away time, or anything. But we can't WAIT for the arrival of the second heir to the Kardashian-West throne so we can get some god darn ANSWERS to these burning questions.

10 things nobody tells you about pregnancy (part 2)

6. Hemorrhoids Are a Royal Pain in the Butt
Your best friend may say she’s told you everything about her own pregnancy. But has she remembered her hemorrhoids? Believe us, hemorrhoids happen pretty often, and when they do, you’re in for some very noticeable pain and discomfort. Hemorrhoids are dilated veins near the rectum that become engorged because of the pressure on that part of the body or because of pushing during delivery. Some women notice hemorrhoids during pregnancy, others don’t have any problem with them until after delivery, and some very lucky women never have them at all.

If your hemorrhoids are significant, be prepared for some discomfort after vaginal delivery. Most hemorrhoids go away within a few weeks. If you’re fortunate enough not to have them, realize how lucky you are - and have sympathy for all the other new mothers who do have them.

Housewife sentenced to death by hanging in Makurdi for the murder of her 1yr old step son

A Makurdi High Court Judge, Justice Jennifer Ijohor, on Thursday June 11th, sentenced a housewife, Mrs Ternenge Tersoo, to death by hanging for the murder of her 1year-old step son, Pineter Tersoo.

The convict’s husband, Mr Iorchir Tersoo, reported the matter to the police on May 28, 2012 that his first wife had killed his son.

Tersoo said he had been married to the convict for seven years without a child, which made him to marry a second wife, Torkwase Tersoo, who gave birth to the deceased within one year.
The complainant said that his first wife had complained bitterly that the little boy and his mother had taken over the affairs of the house and that the husband gave more attention to the second wife.

Photos:Cosmopolitan features 3 Chibok Girls who fled Boko Haram captivity

Mercy, Sarah, and Deborah (Grace asked not to be photographed)
Grace slept through the sounds of gunfire in the night. Exhausted from final exams at her boarding school in Nigeria, she awoke when her roommate Mary prodded her, "Get up!"

Suddenly, the girls saw a gang of men spreading across the school grounds. "They said they were soldiers. They said they were there to protect us," Grace says. "They told us all to stay together."
Terrified, the girls did as they were told. The men made their way to the pantry, grabbing all the food. Then they headed for the administrative office. On the way, they began shouting, "Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!" It means "God is great" in Arabic. They lit the office on fire
"We realized they were impostors," Grace says. "They were not there to help us." But it was too late to run. The girls were forced into trucks at gunpoint. Grace sat with Mary as their vehicle roared off into the dawn. As the school burned in their wake, lighting the sky, Grace thought, These men are going to kill us.

10 Things Nobody Tells You About Pregnancy

“Ten Things Nobody Tells You”

Don’t worry. We know of no conspiracy keeping you from knowing all there is to know about pregnancy. But your friends, sisters, cousins - whoever tells you what to expect with your pregnancy - often forget the little details, especially the more unpleasant ones. Furthermore, other books often gloss over this stuff, perhaps in the interest of decorum. Well, at the risk of being indecorous, we’re going to give it to you straight in this chapter.

1. Pregnancy Lasts Longer than Nine Months
Patients always ask, “How many months along am I?” and we have trouble giving them a precise answer. Pregnancy is said to last nine months, but that number isn’t exactly accurate. The average pregnancy lasts 280 days, or 40 weeks, starting from the date of the mother’s last menstrual period. (You think 40 weeks is a long time? Just be glad you’re not an elephant, which has a gestation period of 22 months!) If a month is four weeks, that calculation comes out to ten months. On the calendar, however, most months contain four weeks plus two or three days, so nine calendar months often do contain close to 40 weeks. Practitioners speak in terms of weeks when measuring gestational age because it’s more accurate and less confusing.

seventeen things you should do before you try to get pregnant (prt 3)

10. See your dentist
When you're preparing for pregnancy, don't forget about your oral health. Hormonal shifts during pregnancy can make you more susceptible to gum disease. Higher progesterone and estrogen levels can cause the gums to react differently to the bacteria in plaque, resulting in swollen, red, tender gums that bleed when you floss or brush.

The good news is that women who take care of their periodontal healthbefore they get pregnant cut down on their chances of experiencing gum complications in pregnancy. See your dentist for a checkup and cleaning now if you haven't done so in the past six months.

3. Take folic acid (and watch out for vitamin A)
Taking a folic acid supplement is crucial. By taking 400 micrograms (mcg) of folic acid a day for at least one month before you conceive and during your first trimester, you can cut your chances of having a baby with neural-tube defects such as spina bifida by 50 to 70 percent, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Taking folic acid helps prevent some other birth defects as well.

seventeen things you should do before you try to get pregnant (prt 1)

You've decided to take the plunge into parenthood. But wait just a second – or even a month or more. To give yourself the best chance for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby, there are some important things you need to do before you head down the road to conception.

1. Schedule a preconception visit
You don't have to have a doctor or midwife lined up to deliver your baby yet, but call your ob-gyn, midwife, or family practice doctor now for a preconception check-up. Your practitioner will review your personal and family medical history, your present health, and any medications or supplements you're taking. Certain medications and supplements are unsafe during pregnancy, and some may need to be switched before you even try to conceive because they're stored in your body's fat and can linger there.

seven reasons babies cry and how to soothe them (prt 3)

My baby's still crying. How can I soothe her?
As you gradually get to know your baby's personality you'll learn which techniques work best for her. If a cuddle or a feed doesn't do the job, these suggestions may help:

Play a constant sound

In your womb (uterus), your baby could hear the beat of your heart. She probably enjoys being held close to you now because your heartbeat is so familiar.

Other noises mimic the sounds she'll have heard in your womb. The repetitive noise of a vacuum cleaner or hairdryer may lull your baby to sleep. Or you could supervise her on the floor next to the washing machine.

seven reasons babies cry and how to soothe them (prt 2)

I'm crying because I need to be held

Your baby needs lots of cuddling, physical contact and reassurance to comfort her. So her crying may mean that she just wants to be held.

Swaying and
singing to her while you hold her may give her added comfort.

When you hold your baby close she may be soothed by your heartbeat, the warmth of your body and your smell. You could try putting her in a sling to keep her close to you for longer spells.

I'm crying because I'm tired and I need a rest

Babies often find it hard to get to sleep, particularly if they're over-tired. You'll probably become aware of your baby's sleep cues soon after birth. Whining and crying at the slightest thing, staring blankly into space, and being quiet and still are just three examples.

Lots of attention from doting
visitors may over-stimulate your baby and make it hard for her to sleep. Try taking her to a quiet room before bed to help her calm down and switch off.

Seven reasons babies cry and how to soothe them

Your baby is fully dependent on you. You provide her with the food, warmth and comfort that she needs. When she cries, it's her way of communicating any or all of those needs and of ensuring a response from you.

It's sometimes hard to work out which need
your baby wants you to take care of. But as your baby grows she'll learn other ways of communicating with you. For example, she'll get better at eye contact, making noises and smiling.

In the meantime, here are some reasons why your baby may cry, and what you can try to soothe her:

I'm crying because I'm hungry

Hunger is one of the most common reasons why your baby will cry, especially if she's a newborn. The younger your baby is, the more likely it is that she's hungry.

Your baby's stomach is small and can't hold very much. So it won't take long before it empties. If you're breastfeeding, offer your breast, even if her last feed doesn't seem that long ago. This is called feeding on demand.

If you're formula-feeding, your baby may not need more milk for at least two hours after her last feed. Every baby is different though. If your baby is consistently not finishing her feeds, she may prefer to drink formula little and often. In this case, you could try offering her another feed early.

Your baby may not stop crying immediately, but let her keep feeding if she wants to.
