Doctors are warning you against the dangers of wearing skinny jeans and squatting

Not a good idea, apparently

Attention anyone who spends the majority of their life wearing skinny jeans: make sure you're not squatting in them for too long, because doctors have issued a health warning on the matter after a woman was left hospitalised for four days.

The 35 year old experienced muscle damage and nerve blockages in her legs, having worn tight fitting skinnies to empty her cupboards during a house move, which saw her squatting with dangerously restricted blood flow for several hours.
So that's fairly terrifying... PASS THE BOOTCUTS.

The unidentified woman has said that her jeans began to feel increasingly tight and that her feet became numb as she walked home after the accidental squatting sesh, causing her to trip over and unable to get up after her fall thanks to the weakness in her limbs.

She ended up stranded outside for several hours before finally getting to hospital, and Dr. Thomas Kimber of the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia has warned that the tight jeans were a huge factor in her problems.
He stated that tight jeans have previously been reported to be the cause of nerve lesions in the groin (agh), but not the kind of nerve problems in the lower leg along with the severe muscle damage that this woman experienced.
Apparently the lengthy squatting compressed the nerves in the woman's lower leg and reduced the blood supply to the calf muscles to begin with, but this was then further restricted by the skinny jeans wrapped so tightly around. Gulp.
After four days in hospital and having her jeans physically cut off from her body, the woman was left with weakness in her legs, although later made a full recovery. Thank gawd flares are all over the place at the moment and we can always rely on trusty leggings
